Oral presentations (5- and 12-minute) will take place in concurrent sessions which will be held throughout the week (Monday through Friday). Submitters will be notified about the acceptance of their talk around August 1. Please note that the exact session day and time of your talk will not be available until later in the Fall.

There will be an afternoon/evening poster session during the week where posters will be displayed around the conference space and attendees will walk around to view the posters and speak to the authors. You will be required to drop off your poster at registration check-in at the beginning of the week so that the poster can be mounted on cardboard material ahead of the session.

Describe the workshop purpose, intended audience, activities, and outcomes.  Workshops will be held during dedicated times on several days during the week of the conference. Workshops will have 3 or 6 hour time slots. Attendees will have a break for lunch either before, during, or after the workshops, therefore workshops should not include/request food service. Please note that workshop hosts are expected to source, fund, and bring requirements for each workshop (supplies, facilitators, travel, etc.) separately. Reef Futures will provide the meeting space for the workshop and special requests (i.e. water access, room setup), therefore a registration fee for some workshops may be charged to attendees to cover these items. Note - Workshops should be an interactive educational session or meeting focused on learning techniques, solving problems, or developing skills through collaboration. If you or your organization has a fully edited video, with content about your work or the organization as it relates to coral restoration and the content themes for the conference listed above, submit a link to the video in your abstract and tell us about your group. If you are creating a video for Reef Futures, you must submit a link to another video that has been made recently by the same person/group to demonstrate quality.  These videos may be selected for the Reef Futures Reef to Reels Film Festival or during other portions of the program.

Proposal to host an Interactive Showcase Station for organizations and groups to showcase their latest and greatest: technology and solutions, provide hands-on, practical demonstrations, or connect directly with the full range of the community Option to participate in the “Barracuda Tank” competition  Showcase Stations will be provided a 2-meter long rectangular table and access to power as the foundation of the station. If you would like a different set-up or have a special request, please indicate that in the description and also upload an image or pdf sketch of the proposed layout.
